Diontae Johnson Ravens Suspension: According to a statement from the team, running back Diontae Johnson and the Baltimore Ravens "mutually agreed" to allow him to take this week off from team challenges. After Johnson declined to play in the Ravens' Week 13 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on December 1, he was suspended for one game on December 4 for "conduct detrimental to the team."
Baltimore had a bye in Week 14, so Johnson sat out Sunday's win over the New York Giants and was expected to return to team activities this week.
However, the wideout will no longer be involved in preparations for Saturday's home game against one of his former teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"To be honest, right now my focus is on Pittsburgh and getting our team ready for that game," said John Harbaugh, the head coach of the Ravens, in response to a question concerning Diontae Johnson's possible return next week, according to ESPN.

According to Harbaugh, "He won't be here this week, and we'll see how things shape up next week." The Ravens need a win in this game to catch up with Pittsburgh, who are currently 10-4 and leading the AFC North. When asked why the Ravens chose to cut Johnson rather than retain him, Harbaugh said, "I know you all want to hear the story." Behind the scenes, a lot is happening. The front office makes these choices for an end.
Harbaugh said, “I don’t want to get into all the different decisions Eric (DeCosta) makes right now. My focus is entirely on Pittsburgh and getting our team ready, especially the players who will be facing them.” That is where I am fully focused. Since joining the Ravens, Johnson has only recorded one reception for six yards after being traded from the Carolina Panthers on October 29.
Following his failure to join the game during the third quarter of the San Francisco 49ers' 12–6 loss to the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night, linebacker De’Vondre Campbell was suspended for three games for the remainder of the regular season.
