Tottenham: Manor Solomon, the Tottenham Hotspur winger, is set to have his medical today (Saturday) as he gets ready to join Leeds United on loan. This deal doesn’t include an option to buy, so Solomon will stay under contract with Tottenham until June 2028.
Solomon joined Spurs on a free transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer but played only six times before suffering a knee injury in October that proved to be a season-ending one. In March, Tottenham announced that Solomon had minor surgery on the meniscus in his right knee. The 25-year-old called it the "most difficult and frustrating" time of his career.
Solomon played for Spurs during pre-season but was not in their matchday squad for their season opener at Leicester City on Monday. Spurs have also decided to bring in winger Wilson Odobert from Burnley in a deal worth up to 30 million pounds ($39.6 million).
Last season, Solomon was on loan at Fulham from Shakhtar. The Israeli international scored five times in 24 games for the West London side. Meanwhile, Leeds have seen several key players leave the squad after failing to gain promotion back to the Premier League last season, with Georginio Rutter joining Brighton & Hove Albion, Crisenio Summerville moving to West Ham United, Glen Kamara moving to Rennes and Archie Gray moving to Tottenham.
Daniel Farke's side have signed winger Largi Ramazani from Almeria, Joe Rodon from Spurs, right-back Jayden Bogle from Sheffield United, goalkeeper Alex Cairns from Salford City and midfielder Joe Rothwell from Bournemouth.
Leeds finally grabbed their first win of the season on Friday night, beating Sheffield Wednesday 2-0 at Hillsborough after two frustrating draws in the Championship and a loss in the Carabao Cup. They will bounce back with a home match against Hull City next Saturday.
