Bayern Munich: With the summer transfer window winding down, Real Madrid is making a bold bid to snap up a Bayern Munich star at the last minute.
This summer has been quite eventful for them, having already secured Kylian Mbappe on a free transfer from PSG and introducing Brazilian sensation Endrick to their squad.
Although Nacho's departure has left a hole in Real Madrid's defence, the club have made it clear that they are done with work in the summer transfer window. With less than a week left for the summer transfer window to close, there are reports that Real Madrid are planning a last-minute plunder to sign the Bayern Munich star.
Real Madrid wants to sign a Bayern Munich player at the last minute
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti confirmed at the start of La Liga that there would be no new signings this summer and their transfer window has closed.
Recent reports indicate that, behind the scenes, Los Blancos are actively pursuing a deal to sign Bayern Munich's star, Alphonso Davies. Alphonso Davies has long been linked with a move from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid, as his contract with the Bundesliga giants expires in 2025.
Real Madrid's interest in Davies is well known and according to Spanish news outlet Relevo, the 15-time Champions League winners made a 30 million euro bid to sign Alphonso Davies this summer. However, the Bavarian club did not agree to sell Davies on a free transfer.
The report also reveals that Real Madrid is considering a last-minute bid to sign the Canadian left back during the final week of the transfer window.
Given that Bayern Munich risk losing Alphonso Davies on a free next summer, a last-minute move could be good for all parties.
Furthermore, Real Madrid's La Liga campaign did not start as planned as they drew 1-1 against Mallorca away from home on matchday one. To make their start even more difficult, Real Madrid's key midfielders Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham are out due to injuries.
So, despite officially stating that Los Blancos' transfer window has closed, the possibility of a last ditch effort to sign Davies cannot be ruled out.
