Kari Lake: Kari Lake, a committed MAGA Republican and Trump supporter, has won Arizona’s GOP Senate primary, setting up a crucial November battle with Democratic Rep Ruben Gallego.

Arizona, being a key battleground state, will be vital in determining control of both the White House and Congress. The Associated Press declared Lake the winner just before 8:45 PM on Tuesday, with Lake, known for her conspiracy theories and election denial, beating Pinal County sheriff Mark Lamb. This race could be a game-changer for the future makeup of the Senate.

Lake celebrated her win by taking the stage at a watch party in Phoenix and warning supporters that they must help “hero” Trump save the country.

“He can’t do this alone. She mentioned, "He requires additional support in Washington DC." “He needs backup in Washington DC and I will be his backup!”

She shared on X, "It's time to take back the Senate majority!"

Trump, who hailed her win on Truth Social on Tuesday night, had endorsed Lake and joined her on a campaign call the day before polls opened.

“Go vote,” Trump urged voters in a phone rally. “She’s fantastic. She won’t let us down. Carrie Lake, I think she’s going to be as good as she can be. There’s no one better than her.”

While Lake was the longtime favorite, Lamb still managed to pull in nearly 40 percent of the vote — a sign that Lake’s far-right stance could alienate more moderate conservatives in the state.

She will now face Gallego, who ran unopposed in the Democratic primary, to take control of the seat left vacant by Democrat-turned-independent Kyrsten Sinema after she decided not to run for re-election.

Arizona will now be a crucial swing state to determine control of both the White House and Congress in November.

Lake is a staunch ally of Trump who has long pushed conspiracy theories — including his false claims that the 2020 presidential election was stolen from him.

In 2022, he made an unsuccessful bid for governor of Arizona, losing to Democrat Katie Hobbs.

However, rather than accept his defeat, Lake echoed Trump's rhetoric and falsely claimed — despite being repeatedly proven wrong in multiple courts — that he had been cheated.

His latest attempt to pursue baseless election denial came earlier this month when he asked the Arizona Supreme Court to take up the issue. All of the justices chosen by the Republican governor have already rejected his efforts.
