Joe Burrow Haircut: Joe Burrow's haircut is already making waves as NFL training camp begins. For teams and players, this time of year represents a fresh start, with even the most struggling franchises hoping for a turnaround. The Cincinnati Bengals' star quarterback showed up at camp on Tuesday with a new look that quickly set the internet buzzing.
Burrow is looking to re-establish himself as one of the league's top quarterbacks in the 2024 season. After leading the Bengals to Super Bowl 56 in 2022 and leading them to the AFC Championship Game in 2023, he missed the final seven games of the 2023 season after tearing the scapholunate ligament in his right wrist during the first half of the Bengals' 34-20 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Nov. 16.
While the Bengals are looking to return to the NFL playoffs from a deep and challenging AFC North, they'll do so with a new-look quarterback — literally.

The explanation of Joe Burrow's haircut
Burrow looked very different than the last time he was on an NFL field on the first day of Bengals training camp.
Throughout his NFL career, and going back to his days as a Heisman Trophy winner at LSU, Burrow has been known for his wiry, parted hair. As the 2024 NFL season kicks off, Burrow decided to switch up his style.
The Bengals star's hair was trimmed into a buzz cut and dyed bleach blonde, making him look more like rapper Eminem or wrestler Cody Rhodes.
Joe Burrow's buzzcut may be a fresh change, but the bleached blonde hair actually takes us back to his high school days in Athens, Ohio. Even though his natural hair is brown, he was known for his blonde look back then, a detail fans on social media quickly noticed.
This isn't the first time Burrow's hair has been a topic of discussion this offseason.
In May, an NFL aggregation account posted a photo of Burrow with shoulder-length, wavy hair on X that reminded many of actor Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in the 2005 In "Revenge of the Sith," the third film in the "Star Wars" prequel series,
As much fun as the Internet had with the look, it was just as much fun to photoshop the image into something that was made fun of.
Joe Burrow's haircut response
As expected, Burrow's haircut sparked a lot of backlash on social media.
Most comments centered around his resemblance to Rhodes and Eminem, though others pointed out that by trying to look like Eminem, Burrow may look more like Stan, the rapper's fictional deranged fan who was the subject of a 2000 song of the same name.
Ken, the well-known doll played by Ryan Gosling in the 2023 hit "Barbie," frequently came up as a key point of comparison.
