Cobra Kai Season 6: Get ready, Cobra Kai fans! The first episodes of Cobra Kai Season 6 are now streaming on Netflix. This final season picks up right after the intense showdown in Season 5, where Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) finally took down the ruthless Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) with some crafty assistance from John Kreese (Martin Kove).

Cobra Kai Season 6 Part 2 Netflix release date update.

The series, created by Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schlossberg, originally premiered on YouTube Red/YouTube Premium for its first two seasons before Netflix picked it up, leading to a surge in its popularity. Many fans consider the first season to be the standout. Set years after the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament in The Karate Kid, the show follows Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso as they return to the world of karate as rival instructors, with a new generation of karate kids stepping into the spotlight.

In addition to the series stars, Cobra Kai's returning cast includes Xolo Mariduena, Courtney Henggeler, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Peyton List, Vanessa Rubio, Dallas Dupree Young, Alicia Hannah-Kim, Griffin Santopietro, Una O'Brien and Gianni Decenzo.

Alongside Kove and Griffith, you'll find other familiar names from the Karate Kid movie, such as Yuji Okumoto, Elisabeth Shue, Sean Kanan, Robyn Lively, and Tamlyn Tomita, among others who've made their mark in the film.

When will more episodes come to Netflix?

Netflix subscribers might be a little concerned to see that the new season only has five episodes. Typically, a season for Cobra Kai is 10 episodes long. Rest assured, this is not a full season of Season 6. In fact, this season will be the longest one yet. The only drawback? It's being split into three separate parts.

Part 1 is out now. Part 2 will arrive on Netflix on November 20 with five more episodes. The last five episodes are expected to drop sometime in 2025.

What should we expect in Season 6?

Season 6 begins with Johnny and Daniel's victory over Silver and the two men and their students working together. There is peace in the Valley for the first time in a long time. But the shadow of John Kreese looms everywhere.

Jon Hurwitz told Entertainment Weekly, "Kreese has always been quite a stoic, but he's always had a soft spot for Johnny. This time, that soft spot is gone. So, Kreese is more dangerous than ever. Partnering up with Kim Da-yoon, who has been eager to please her grandfather and continue his traditions, [he and Kreese] have a long history. It would be great to see them work together — it would be great for us as the audience, but not necessarily for Johnny and Daniel."

Hayden Schlossberg says of this season being so long, "One of the reasons this season is 15 episodes is because we wanted to tie all the characters' stories together. We knew we had a lot of characters. Whoever your favorite character is, we have a story for them and they all have their spotlight moments."

With such a long and sprawling season, we're unlikely to get all our questions answered until next year. But it's good to be back with Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang and maybe very soon, Cobra Kai as well. In the words of Josh Heald, "Cobra Kai never dies."
